After COA Development, you move into COA analysis and wargaming. This step tests each potential Course of Action against the mission, constraints, and likely enemy actions to see if it’s feasible, acceptable, and risky enough to warrant further consideration. Wargaming helps you surface timing issues, logistics needs, command and control requirements, and assumptions that might not hold in real operations. The goal is to understand how each COA would perform under realistic conditions so you can compare them effectively and select the best option for approval and eventual plan or order development.
